Two Successful West Palm Beach Based Attorneys Partner To Form New Firm
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Former Interim West Palm Beach City Commissioner, Michael A.
Weeks, and former Assistant State Attorney of the 15th Judicial Circuit, Nadine Castillo
Macon announce the formation of a new law firm Weeks & Macon, LLP.  

After successfully working together in the litigation department of Ward, Damon & Posner, P.
A., Weeks and Macon left to open their own firm that concentrates in the areas of
commercial litigation, land use issues and criminal defense.  Weeks and Macon have
represented clients at every level of the Florida Judicial System, as well as before United
States District Courts, American Arbitration Association panels, international forums and state
and local governmental agencies.  

“We look forward to working with our existing and new clients to find creative and effective
solutions for their legal needs,” said Michael Weeks. “We chose to locate our offices in
downtown West Palm Beach as it is a thriving metropolitan area and we can conveniently
meet the needs of the community by being centrally located.”

The new firm has opened in the historic Wagg Building at 215 South Olive Avenue in
downtown West Palm Beach.  Of Counsel attorneys with Weeks & Macon, LLP, including
Patrick M. Whitehead and Richard A. Hujber, assist the firm with estates & trusts, taxation,
and immigration law.  

Weeks is a fourth generation native of Palm Beach County and has been zealously
advocating for clients for twelve years in the areas of complex business litigation, land use
litigation and telecommunication litigation. Weeks graduated cum laude from the University
of Florida, where he received numerous honors, served as the Senior Research Editor of the
Florida Law Review and was a Teaching Assistant for both Legal Research & Writing and
Appellate Advocacy.

Active in the community, Weeks has served the City of West Palm Beach as a City
Commissioner, Planning Board Member, Chairperson of the Comprehensive Plan Update
Committee, Chairperson of the Elections Task Force, and Chairperson of the Nuisance
Abatement Board.  He is an alumnus of Leadership Palm Beach County and has served as
president of the Northwood Shores Neighborhood Association and currently serves on the
Board of Directors of SunFest of Palm Beach County, Inc. and is a member of the Florida Bar,
the American Bar Association and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.

Macon graduated cum laude from Florida State University and has concentrated her
practice of law in the areas of commercial litigation and criminal defense. She began her
legal career serving as an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County. As lead attorney in
numerous trials, she developed a broad scope of experience successfully prosecuting
criminal cases. Macon works in specialty divisions focusing on crimes involving domestic
violence and juvenile offenders. During her tenure as a prosecutor, Macon volunteered in
the Palm Beach County Youth Court Program to assist in the promotion of a diversionary
program to keep juveniles from entering the juvenile justice system.

Macon is Vice-Chair of SunFest of Palm Beach County, Inc.’s Risk Management Committee
and is a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, is a member of the Florida
Bar , the American Bar Association, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
